‘Dry hire’ means hiring equipment to use yourself, without the need for a sound or lighting engineer to be present during your event. Dry hires will generally need to be collected from St Albans AL4, and returned at a suitable time after the event. We can offer delivery too, depending on location and our schedule on your event day.

Most of our dry hire enquiries tend to be either to support a DJ (we can provide them too!), background music, or for small lighting packages, as detailed below. If you have different requirements, just let us know, and we can put together a bespoke package that works for you.

Dry Hire DJ System Package

Our most common dry hire package is an all-inclusive stand-alone DJ system. Just bring your decks and DJ mixer – we bring everything else that you need for an incredible set up for up to ~200 audience members, and set it up for you too:

Standard price £600+VAT, set up and delivered within 10 miles of St. Albans, Herts.

  • 2x mid/high speakers
  • 2x subwoofers
  • DJ booth
  • 1x wired microphone
  • 1x mixing desk with DJ input and mic input
  • Stage wash and 2x moving head lights
  • Delivered and set up within 10 miles of St Albans, Herts

Prices are based on arrival time of 5pm, and a collection time of midnight. Earlier delivery and later pack downs are possible for an increased fee.

Background music Package

Another common dry hire package is a small sound system for background music. This system is bluetooth enabled and easy to operate. Of course, how to set it up will be explained to you when you collect.

Wireless uplighters are priced at £120+VAT per box of 6, collected from St. Albans AL4, Herts:

Our battery powered RGBWA+UV uplights are the perfect solution to quickly and easily add an impressive look to your event space. They will be fully charged when you collect them, and will work for ~11 hours continuously. The lights come with a small remote control, making setting the colour to match your decor as simple as it gets!

Aside from our ‘standard’ DJ setup above, every event is a little different, so giving an idea of price for every event is impractical. Please rest assured that our equipment is well serviced, and our prices are extremely competitive!

Our audio equipment stock includes full range speakers, subwoofer speakers, active speakers, passive speakers, analogue and digital mixing consoles, in ear monitors, instrument microphones, lapel microphones, wireless vocal microphones, wired microphones, and literally miles of cabling!

Our lighting equipment stock includes LED stage wash lighting, LED moving head spot fixtures, LED moving head wash fixtures, LED battery uplighters, LED wired uplighters, LED batons, LED tube lights, LED blinder bars (similar to sunstrips), LED derby lights, plus some generic disco lights.

All lighting equipment is dry hired without a lighting console with the fixtures set to ‘auto’ or ‘sound to light’ mode – lighting control requires a fair amount of knowledge, which is generally outside the scope of a typical dry hire client.
